My love of writing began during lockdown in 2020.

It started as a personal journey, a technique used to sift through trauma. This has produced 3 poetry collections and a novella.... so far! Irish Poems, Of Ferns and a Fearless Woman, Brid and Shadow Moon.

I have been a scientist for over 20 years and I bring that same curiosity and dedication to my writing. My characters feel like lifelong friends and each of them add meaning to my world. I live and write on the beautiful island of Ireland where I am surrounded by inspiration.

With no formal writing training, I write from instinct and imagination. For my poems, I hear the words in my head, write them down and somehow they end up on the page in the forms you see here. For my stories, I watch them like movies in my head and I simply bring you along for the ride.
